2.1 This Policy applies to students, parents/guardians, website/app visitors, and any person whose data is processed by SMARTMOVE in connection with our educational services.

2.2 For the purposes of DPDP, SMARTMOVE generally acts as a Data Fiduciary for the personal data we handle.

Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect:

  • Identity details: name, date of birth/age, gender, photograph, parent/guardian name.
  • Contact details: address, email IDs, mobile numbers of student and parent/guardian.
  • Academic details: class, school, marks, test scores, exam preferences, attendance, performance analytics.
  • Fee and transaction details: payment mode, bank/card references as shared by payment gateway, invoice details, scholarship/discount records.
  • Usage data: IP address, device information, app version, pages visited, time spent, questions attempted, error logs, cookies and similar technologies.
  • Audio-visual data: class recordings, doubt sessions, test proctoring records, call recordings for customer support.
  • Consent & preference data: consent to marketing, choice of communication channels, and any withdrawals of consent.

We collect data:

  • directly from you via enquiry forms, admission forms (online/offline), registration forms, tests, feedback and support requests;
  • automatically through our websites/apps via cookies, logs and analytics tools;
  • from parents/guardians when they register or manage a minor’s account;

If we store or process data outside India, we will comply with applicable cross-border data transfer rules.
